Was waiting to post about the Wolfgang show til LED got some video up, but I've yet to see anything and my commentary is more important.
Needless to say he was well worth MY wait. Missed at both Coachella and EDC this year (i know, i suck) I'd been told time and time again that WG absolutely kills it. I believe the words "he fucked my world up" and other like comparisons have been used on more than one occasion. I was expecting epic. And boy did I recieve.
When you see pics of Wolfgang, it's hard to deny that he looks a tad dorky. I assumed he'd focus more on the technical aspects of his set than the performance, and I was pleasantly proved wrong. He WAS a part of the party, he DID interact with the crowd and he managed to do it while MURDERING those tech aspects that he's known for.
He dropped his new single, collab with Deadmau5- Animal Rights, and besides being well recieved, let's be honest, it was probably performed better than if the mau5 intro'd it himself.
San Diego loves them some Wolfgang, and LA Riots too for that matter, who opened with a seamless set including a personal fave, The Temper Trap- Sweet Disposition dub remix...yum.
Fab crowd, fab performers, fab sunday...wish we could do it every week.

holy moly, people. have you seen his documentary? youtube it. NOW. if there was any debate left that he's human, it just went out the window. the man is from another planet. a planet where purple drank apparently ain't no thang, because the man alien lives on it. more obsessed than before, if that's at all possible.

Check out the awesomeness of my co-worker's son! A free-lancer and Pixar animator, Thompson creates an annual, Derek Monster, for Comic-Con. Now that the chaos is over, I'm enjoying my souvenirs :) This nerd at heart, loves her some monsters.
