Tomorrow, October 1, marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Education and Awareness month.

Now that football season is underway, make sure to represent with our very own San Diego Chargers, as they go pink October 24th, 2010!

The Chargers are just one of 29 NFL teams Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity partners with throughout the month of October. Don't miss the pink ribbons distributed by members and alumni, as well as the pink gloves and cleats on the field!

Think Pink, Think Zeta!

ducksauce barbra streisand is to 2010/11, what beetroots warp! was to 2009/10. #prediction
before going on new music binges, I find myself sifting through throwback mixes to recognize where i've been, where i am, and where it is i'm going next. as i'm headed into the dark and unknown, both personally and musically, it's always a trip to see how far we've come. some mixes i recently reminisced with were top 40 and classic rock driven. if you listen close enough, you can catch the electro and house subtly dropped in, mostly infused as transitions between their greater radio favorites.

now, a year or two later, the same djs are producing sellable cds featuring the same electro bangers that kids previously recognized as background music. the only problem? they're literally the SAME tracks from two years ago. the assumption is that the mtv kids, just now accepting ghosts n' stuff, won't fare well with the progressive. the bubble already burst, so if you ask me, let's jump in head first. if we really wanna be innovative, why not guide listeners through the ropes course instead of jumping on the merry-go-round with them.

what's the worst that could happen- they don't like it? was being a sub-culture ever so bad in the first place?

in honor of FW

Was waiting to post about the Wolfgang show til LED got some video up, but I've yet to see anything and my commentary is more important.

Needless to say he was well worth MY wait. Missed at both Coachella and EDC this year (i know, i suck) I'd been told time and time again that WG absolutely kills it. I believe the words "he fucked my world up" and other like comparisons have been used on more than one occasion. I was expecting epic. And boy did I recieve.

When you see pics of Wolfgang, it's hard to deny that he looks a tad dorky. I assumed he'd focus more on the technical aspects of his set than the performance, and I was pleasantly proved wrong. He WAS a part of the party, he DID interact with the crowd and he managed to do it while MURDERING those tech aspects that he's known for.

He dropped his new single, collab with Deadmau5- Animal Rights, and besides being well recieved, let's be honest, it was probably performed better than if the mau5 intro'd it himself.

San Diego loves them some Wolfgang, and LA Riots too for that matter, who opened with a seamless set including a personal fave, The Temper Trap- Sweet Disposition dub remix...yum.

Fab crowd, fab performers, fab sunday...wish we could do it every week.

The surface tension surrounding electronic music has bubbled over. House is here. It's on MTV,  it's in bars, it's coming through your speakers. The EDM scene has officially arrived...he would be proud.

Genius!
